Frequently asked questions
What may be required for construction-start approval?
It depends on the individual case. Common documents include an inspection plan, structural documentation and installation or fire-safety material. An energy calculation may also be required. Rit & Byggkontroll does not perform energy calculations; when one is needed, it must come from another specialist whom we can help coordinate.
Is a control manager included?
The certified control-manager role is a separate assignment and is quoted when the municipality requires it.
Can I order only one document?
Yes. Most documents can be ordered separately, such as an inspection plan or building-rights review.
What will a complete package cost?
The price depends on the documents the municipality requires. You receive one fixed quotation after the decision and drawings have been reviewed.
I have planning permission but no start decision. What next?
Send the permit decision, drawings and the municipality’s latest response. We identify the remaining technical documents and quote for the work we can provide. The municipality issues the start decision; drawings or planning permission do not replace it.
Can you help prepare for a technical consultation?
Yes. We review the invitation, organize drawings and inspection documents, and clarify responsibility for each item. Control management and other specialist roles are defined in the quotation when needed.
I already have some documents. Must I order everything again?
No. We work from current documents and the municipality’s specific request. Send version-dated files so we can assess what can be reused, what needs updating and which new documents are missing.
