Can you start from a sketch?
Yes. A sketch is often enough for a quotation, while completed architectural drawings allow a more certain scope.
Are planning drawings included?
No. They can be ordered separately or together as a defined package.
Do you perform energy calculations?
No. If the municipality requires an energy calculation, it must be prepared by another specialist whom we can help coordinate.
How do planning drawings differ from structural drawings?
Planning drawings show the design, position and use of the building. Structural drawings describe load-bearing elements, dimensions and connections. The required drawings and calculations depend on the project and the municipality’s request.
Do I need a structural designer to open a load-bearing wall?
Start with a qualified assessment of whether the wall is load-bearing and how loads are transferred. Send a floor plan, photos and dimensions of the proposed opening so we can assess suitability and missing information. Demolition must not be based solely on a sketch or visualization.
The municipality needs structural drawings for my garage or extension. What should I send?
Send the current planning drawings, the municipality’s message and any information about the foundation and structural frame. We define which elements need design work and identify whether more ground information or investigation is needed.
